Operations Coordinator
An Operations Coordinator (OC) is responsible for providing operational support and customer service for the Perelman Quadrangle. An OC acts as a frontline contact and resource for the client. An OC may facilitate such buildings as Houston Hall, Irvine Auditorium, Logan Hall, Williams Hall, the Arch or Iron Gate Theatre. Operations Coordinators report to the Assistant Building Manager on duty. Associates will be responsible for the following:
- Responsible for building(s) and the monitoring of them.
- Supervises the facilities operations of PQ according to an assigned schedule.
- Assists with and/or coordinates events requiring special set-ups, audiovisual equipment, and catering arrangements.
- Handles customer inquiries. Explains and clarifies departmental policies and procedures.
- Is required to do building tours of Houston Hall or other building if assigned elsewhere.
- Ensures the safety, cleanliness, security, and smooth operation of the complex through positive working relationships with the appropriate authorities (Penn Public Safety, Housekeeping, Facilities).
- Acts as a liaison between PQ and other departments/organizations.
- Assists in departmental, building, and office operations.
- Acts as an usher in Irvine Auditorium for performances and special events.
- Works evenings, weekends, and breaks.
- Attends mandatory weekly staff meetings.
- Dresses in PQwear.
- Other duties assigned by the Assistant Manager of the Perelman Quadrangle.

- Exhibits strong leadership, decision-making, and customer service skills.
- Ability (or willingness to learn) to manage scholastic demands while working in a position that requires significant responsibility.
- Must be able to take initiative in problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Attention to detail.
- Dependable and punctual.
