Reading Room

The Class of 1966 Reading Room is located on the first floor of Houston Hall (just west of the main lobby). The marble floor, designed in a checkerboard pattern with the wood and carpet accents, complements the original rich wood paneling of the building. Comfortable chairs and tables are grouped into intimate settings to foster a quiet yet collegial environment. During the school year, the Reading Room operates according to regular business hours, opening at 6:30am and closing at 1:00am. For twenty four-hour studying, the Silfen Study Center just next door on the plaza level of Williams Hall is available with a Penn Card ID. The Reading Room is generally rented in association with Bodek Lounge as a site for information distribution or casual receptions.
